I've just watched an episode of 'Lie to me' and heard a great phrase that made me think about it:
"You never trust anyone, do you? You know, that's why you'll always be alone"
I mean, I don't absolutely trust people too. Am I lonely?
Sometimes I feel this way 'cause I think that the people I know have stonger bonds with others than with me. Hell, I'm sure about it.
And I'm talking about so called 'friends', not family.
But, you know... That works for me, I'm okay. I really like these people and wanna spend time with them, but I don't want a lot of obligations.
When you call a person your best friend, you force him or her to think about you the same way, but how can you be sure he's not liyng?
My point is that when you deeply connected to a person, it's much easier to disappoint or betray you, but when you treat the people you like as just temporary happiness, you're safe, you can let them go without difficulties. Been there, done that. I know the subject.
And I know it's the way I protect myself.
